Enkhsaikhan (Enkhe) Purevjav, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Pediatrics/Pediatric Cardiology and Co-Director of the Heart Institute Laboratories with expertise in cardiovascular genetics with a focus on cardiomyopathies, arrhythmias, and heart failure. Dr. Purevjav identified several novel genes as causes of autosomal dominant dilated cardiomyopathy and engineered a variety of transgenic and knock-in and knock-out murine models using both conventional and novel CRISPR/Cas9 technologies. Dr. Purevjav currently serves as a Co-PI of multi-PI R01 grant focused on discovering modifier genes in cardiomyopathy in addition to her previous collaborations on multi-center multi-PI grants. Dr. Purevjav has nearly sixty peer-reviewed publications published in high-impact journals (JMCC, JACC, Circulation Journal) and serves on Editorial Boards in several scientific journals.
